This opportunity will work in the office in Marietta.
Education/Experience Preferred:
- College degree or 4+ years previous experience in the accounting field
- Month end close, year end, journal entry, balance sheets, analysis
Personal Skills Required:
- Knowledgeable in Excel, attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, highly developed organizational skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlines, multitasking
Computer Skills Preferred:
- Microsoft Office, COPS, Accounting Software
Purpose of the Position:
- Supports company activities with the specific responsibility of ensuring the overall fiscal policies, practices and regulations meet compliance requirements.
- Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements.
Primary Job Duties:
- Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements. Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data, scheduling required jobs, and verifying data.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and reconciling accounts.
- Prepares payments by accruing expenses, assigning account numbers, requesting disbursements, and reconciling accounts.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures and recommends changes.
- Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions. Calculates commissions for internal and external business relationships. Prepares financial information detailing assets, liabilities, capital, income and expenses.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
Secondary Job Duties:
- Completes special projects at the request of management.
