Responsibilities
- Specifically, this role will function as the principal engineer of a newly formed team of cloud SMEs to build the next generation commerce platforms at the company,
- Working with a highly talented team, you’ll play a key role to build and run one of the world’s largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations
- This is an engineering leadership role with responsibility for enabling cloud transformation and execution for the company’s unified commerce platforms.
- Function as a trusted advisor to the director of cloud platform engineering
- Provide architectural guidance for cloud engineers, SREs, and software engineers
- Continually be up to speed on new and emerging technologies, and evaluate if/how we may leverage them in our organization
- Other duties as assigned.

Location:
- The company has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.

Desired Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- 10+ years in cloud engineering, SRE, development, and architecture
- 6+ years working with GCP (Azure and AWS a plus)
- Extensive experience with cloud platform engineering and automation tools (ie Terraform, GitHub Actions, Cloudbolt)
- Must have the mindset of continually finding ways to drive scalability, stability, and performance.
