Customer Service Representative

Do you enjoy helping people and solving problems? 

One of our clients is seeking a Research Clerk to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with exceptional service and resolving their inquiries about our programs and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and respond to complex customer inquiries.
  • Provide accurate and timely information on agency services, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyze and verify documents to ensure accuracy and resolve data entry errors.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of operations to effectively assist customers and resolve problems.
  • Compile and maintain records, including complaints/inquiries, action dates, and contact information.
  • Treat customers with respect and courtesy, actively listen to their needs, and provide clear and accurate information.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings to stay up-to-date on policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to resolve complex issues and share knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience as a Customer Service Representative OR a two-year technical degree in a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive and team-oriented attitude.
  • Understanding of business urgency and initiative to take action.Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two-year technical degree or experience in customer service within the transportation industry.
