Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Hampton, GA
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $30.57 – $33.62 per hour, based on experience and assessment

Focus People is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Hampton, GA.
This is a strong opportunity for mechanically skilled candidates who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, plant maintenance, and working in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have industrial maintenance experience and the ability to support equipment uptime, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Pay
$30/hr – $33/hr based on skill level.
Additional compensation includes a $0.55/hr shift differential for applicable shifts.
Schedule
Candidates must be comfortable with:

Rotating shifts every 30 days

Three-shift operation

Possible overtime
-
Possible weekend work while staffing levels improve
Responsibilities
-
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment
-
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
-
Support plant operations and reduce equipment downtime
-
Work on mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
-
Assist with repairs involving motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related equipment

Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
-
Communicate equipment issues and repair updates to maintenance leadership
-
Support production needs during scheduled maintenance windows
-
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
-
Previous industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience
-
Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
-
Experience with plant equipment, production machinery, or related systems
-
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, conveyors, or similar equipment preferred
-
Ability to work rotating shifts
-
Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
-
Strong attendance and reliability
-
Ability to pass required drug screening, background screening, and maintenance assessments
-
Willingness to complete skills testing as part of the hiring process
Preferred Experience
-
Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, industrial, tire/rubber, printing, building materials, or similar environments
-
Preventive maintenance experience
-
Experience mentoring or supporting less-experienced mechanics is a plus
