Our team at Brookhaven is looking for an Associate Financial Advisor Compensation Specialist. This role is all about supporting the Advisor Compensation Manager, as well as advisors and their support teams. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things related to Broker Dealer and RIA compensation, as well as the compensation processing systems.
What We’re Seeking:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Prior experience in the securities industry, preferably with a broker/dealer.
- Knowledge of securities laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially some nifty Excel skills (think pivot tables, v-lookup, if-statements, and more).
- Top-notch analytical, communication, and computer skills.
- You’re a pro at analyzing problems and finding solutions.
- Highly organized is your middle name.
- Collaborating with a Manager in a remote location? You’re all in.
- You’ll be joining us at the office daily.
Your Day-to-Day Adventure:
- You’ll be the guardian of accurate compensation data, using compensation systems and custodian platforms.
- Helping out with commission and fee processing is all in a day’s work for you.
- Analyzing compensation data and spotting discrepancies or errors is where your keen eye comes into play.
- Reviewing and verifying compensation statements and invoices from sponsors.
- Making sure the compensation system is on point, ensuring no unpaid transactions or missing information slip through the cracks.
- Being the communication pro, you’ll connect with both internal and external stakeholders when compensation issues arise.
- Managing product/sponsor data in the compensation system, in harmony with the Due Diligence and Product departments.
- Coordinating, preparing, and analyzing documents for audits, advisors, and home office requests.
- Taking charge of the Advisor Fee Schedule.
- Keeping a watchful eye on those weekly fee adjustments.
