Our client is currently looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team in Augusta, GA. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to turn into a permanent position.

As our Accounting Assistant, you’ll be reporting to the Accounting Manager and assisting with various financial operations. Your main duties will include researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing and examining financial records, and ensuring that all records are accurate and compliant with IRS regulations. You’ll also be responsible for supporting the preparation of financial statements, keeping sub-ledgers up-to-date, preparing necessary journal entries, and generating reports for the Accounting Manager.

To be considered for this position, you’ll need a BSA or BBA in Accounting with at least 5 years of professional accounting experience. We also prefer candidates who have strong Excel and Word skills.

This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday work schedule from 8am-5pm. The pay rate is $23.00 an hour.
