Job Seeker FAQ

Here are some questions job seekers who have never worked with a staffing or recruiting agency have for us. We hope this helps you decide that working with us will be your next great decision. If you still have a question, please contact us! If your questions are answered, search our jobs or refer a friend!

Job availability changes on a daily basis. Once our application process is complete, you will be considered based on your preferences and skills and will be submitted for appropriate available positions.

  1. Click here to apply through our website.
  2. Focus recruiters review applications for their jobs and contact qualified candidates for pre-screen via phone or video.
  3. Skills testing or resume revision may be requested.
  4. Focus recruiters submit resumes to the client company and coordinate next steps (such as client interviews).
  5. When a contingent offer is made, candidates complete the new-hire onboarding, which may include a criminal background check, drug test, reference check, education verification, work authorization, and/or new hire paperwork.
  6. When onboarding is complete, a start date is set, and you are provided with all details for your new position.

Not every job is going to meet the expectations you have. If you are not interested in a position, you are free to decline. We will continue to offer positions to you based on your skills and preferences.

We realize that not every job is a good fit for you; sometimes you do not know that until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it is not going to work for you, we ask that you contact us immediately. You may be asked to stay at an assignment long enough for us to find a replacement, but we will attempt to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. As with any interaction, communication is the key. We expect open communication from our contract employees, and they can expect the same from Focus People.
